Lot 18: El Laurel #2 Gerson Neptali Ramirez Chavez
My name is Gerson Ramírez and I am proud to share my
experience as a coffee producer. Participating in a cup of
excellence has been one of the most exciting experiences of my
life, because it feels the joy of knowing that there is quality in
the farm, and that this effort has recognition.
The process is long and thorough: it begins with the selection of
the lot, followed by the collection, the fermentation and the
washing. Then we take the coffee to the dryer, and once dry, we
carefully store it to prepare the sample. Each stage requires
attention and dedication, because we know that the final result
depends on it.
It was incredible to know that I entered among the 40 best coffees
in the country, a news that filled my family and my community with
emotion. In the event, the desire to know what place could obtain
was mixed with the joy of seeing other colleagues to be awarded.
Sharing that emotion with them was something very special.
My trajectory has been constant growth. In 2024, I participated at
the departmental level, managing to position myself among the best
parainema producers in El Paraíso. Today, I have the honor
of being among the best parainems in Honduras.
I have maintained this position with a lot of effort, taking care
of every detail in the preparation of my coffee and establishing
good relations with the international market. All this drives me to
continue improving to bring the best coffee to the world, being a
real pride for the department of El Paraíso.
