In the cool mountains of La Unión, in San Rafael del
Norte—where the mist embraces the coffee plantations and
altitudes between 1,125 and 1,300 meters above sea level create
unique conditions—our coffee is born. My name is Favio
Odorico Monzón Monzón, and my story began thanks to
my father's teachings, who passed down to me the love, care, and
dedication for coffee farming. For over 15 years, I have worked
every harvest with effort and passion, learning that a great coffee
is grown not only in the soil but also through consistency and
daily commitment.
At Finca Santa María 2, every lot is handled with
meticulous detail to guarantee a specialty cup. I select only ripe
cherries and carefully manage the fermentation, wet milling, and
drying processes, aiming to preserve the aromas, sweetness, and
balance in every bean. My coffee stands out because behind every
cup lies family dedication, responsible crop management, and a
profound respect for quality. I want those who taste it to feel the
essence of Nicaraguan coffee and discover why it deserves a place
in the finest markets.
Participating for the first time in the Cup of Excellence is an
experience that drives me to keep growing and showcasing the
potential of Nicaraguan coffee. This recognition not only opens up
new commercial opportunities but also proves that our mountains
produce coffees capable of competing at international standards.
