Puma- Punku

Manuel Rosales Raudales

4

Nestled within the mountains of Nueva Segovia and at the highest point of the Puma Punku farm, at 1,700 meters above sea level, a coffee crafted with tradition, patience, and dedication is born. I am Manuel de Jesús Rosales Raudales, a fourth-generation producer, and for years we have worked with the conviction that great coffee begins at the source. Our region possesses the ideal conditions to develop distinct qualities with exceptional profiles, allowing us to produce coffee of the Caturra, Catuai, and Bourbon varieties that reflects the effort, experience, and passion of an entire family committed to excellence.
Every detail of this lot was carefully managed to highlight its natural quality. We began with a meticulous selection of ripe cherries, harvesting only at their optimal point of maturity. We carried out a natural fermentation process, followed by washing with pristine water and drying on raised African beds, thereby preserving the purity and expression of every bean. The dedication we pour into each stage of the process, combined with the altitude where the lot is located, is part of what makes our coffee unique and what drives us to compete alongside the best coffees produced in Nicaragua.
Participating in the Cup of Excellence represents an opportunity for growth and an open door for marketing this coffee internationally. More than a competition, it is a chance to show the world the quality of the work we put into every lot and the effort of each producer to achieve an excellent cup. Our coffee can be described in a simple yet honest phrase: "A coffee with soul." Because behind every cup, there is history, family tradition, and a constant desire to keep improving, while always sharing our knowledge and experiences in this world of coffee.
