I’m a third-generation coffee producer. Ever since I was a child, I helped my grandparents tend the land—planting, harvesting, and processing coffee with them. Those early experiences shaped a deep connection to this crop and its rhythms.

In high school, I worked at a family-owned mill, handling washed coffee processes. The scent of freshly milled beans and the intensity of the work left an indelible mark on my spirit. Though my university years led me down a different path—I studied civil engineering—I never stopped drinking coffee. That daily ritual always kept me grounded.

After graduating and returning to my hometown, I was welcomed again by the sight of the coffee trees and the unforgettable aroma of coffee blossoms. It was then that I reconnected with my roots and began exploring the world of specialty coffee. I realized I wanted to contribute something meaningful to my region—not just through tradition, but through quality and innovation.

This is how Finca La Luz was born, named in honor of my daughter, María Fadanelli Marini—the light of my life. She joins me in this endless coffee journey, and together we’ve built a project that’s as much about sustainability as it is about family. Our coffee is grown under the natural shade of native trees like cedar, cocuite, nacaxtle, and chalahuite, which provide nutrients and moisture to the land while preserving the ecosystem.

On cold days, María and I roast coffee by hand over wood we collect from the finca itself. Those moments—full of laughter, warmth, and connection—are the heartbeat of this project. They remind us why we do this: for love, for peace, and for the simple joy of sharing something beautiful.

This particular lot carries deep emotions for me. From the moment I held those cherries in my hands, I knew I wanted to give them a little magic—something special that coffee lovers around the world would remember. My hope is that with every sip, you feel the care and intention behind it, and that it stays with you as a comforting memory, long after the last drop.

Thank you, truly. Today, I am filled with happiness.
