Alma Pineda, 44, is a deeply admirable example of sheer determination and boundless love for coffee farming. Her remarkable story began in 2012 when her father gifted her a plot of land. Driven by the vision of turning that land into a prosperous farm, Alma made the courageous sacrifice of leaving to work abroad for a year. Her sole purpose was to save enough capital to return to Honduras, nourish the soil of her property, and vigorously launch her own crops.

That monumental sacrifice breathed life into Finca El Limo, where she now proudly cultivates Pacas, SL28, Parainema, and Geisha varieties. For Alma, the true secret behind her specialty coffee is the profound love she pours into her daily work and the meticulous technical care she provides to her farm. Her steadfastness has seen her participate in the Cup of Excellence five times, achieving 3rd place in 2019, 2nd place in 2024, and an 8th place finish this year in the Honduras Exótica category.
