I was born in Ocotal, a land surrounded by mountains, mist, and
coffee plantations that have shaped my life from an early age. My
name is Olman Valladarez Acevedo, and I grew up within a family
deeply tied to coffee, learning from a very young age that behind
every bean lies discipline, effort, and passion. More than 24 years
ago, I decided to continue this legacy at Finca Buenos Aires,
dedicating myself to producing coffees that proudly represent the
potential and excellence of Nicaragua.
Every lot we produce is crafted with absolute precision and care.
From the manual selection of cherries at their optimal point of
ripeness to the monitoring of the processing and drying, we seek to
preserve the identity and elegance of our washed Maracaturra
coffee. My commitment to quality has allowed me to consistently
participate in the "Cup of Excellence Nicaragua" 2026 since 2006,
and in 2025, I was recognized as a "Legend of Excellence" by the
Alliance for Coffee Excellence—an honor granted to only six
producers in the world. This recognition reflects years of
perseverance, passion, and an relentless pursuit of
excellence.
When someone buys our coffee, they are not just acquiring a
high-quality cup; they are taking home a story of tradition,
commitment, and respect for every detail of the process. Our coffee
stands out for its clarity, balance, and
authenticity—qualities born from the unique conditions of
Nueva Segovia and a workmanship focused on traceability and
excellence. The best way to describe my passion for coffee is
reflected in its production. More than just selling coffee, we seek
to build relationships through the honorability, passion, and
commitment we pour into every harvest.
