Finca La Torre is owned by Manuel Antonio Barrantes Zúñiga, winner of the first COE award in 2015 with another of his farms, Leoncio. He has three daughters and his wife, and founded Cafetalera Herbazú more than 20 years ago, one of the first micro-mills in the country. He is a third-generation producer, and his entire family produces coffee, while some of his brothers and sisters process their coffees at their micro-mill.
La Torre has 3 hectares, one of which is dedicated to the San Roque variety, which he processes as a natural coffee for this specific lot.
