USCAMAYTA
MARCOS SEVERO USCAMAYTA MALPARTIDA
30
From the cold highlands of Andamarca, a man began his journey
toward the deep green of Pangoa. He crossed paths where the
mountains slowly dissolve into the jungle; among mist-covered
slopes and rivers that sing as they run over stone, he found a
different place, one that united both worlds. They called it the
inter-Andean zone, where the chill of the Andes and the humid
warmth of the Amazon coexist.
It was in those fertile lands that he decided to put down roots.
With hands hardened by work and a heart full of hope, he planted
coffee. Not just any coffee, but high-quality coffee, cultivated
with patience, love, and deep respect for the land.
Over time, he was no longer alone. Men and women like him joined
together with a shared purpose: to bring life and value to the
fruits of their labor. This is how the Association of Agricultural
Producers of the Palia River Basin was born—a community that
grows not only coffee, but also dreams, identity, and pride in
their land.
Today, that man from Andamarca looks at his harvest with
gratitude.
Each coffee bean carries the story of his journey: from cold to
warmth, from effort to achievement, from the highlands to the
jungle. And in every cup of inter-Andean coffee, you taste more
than good coffee, you taste a story, a life, and a land that
learned to flourish together.
