SÍTIO SANTA FÉ

ROSÂNGELA CAMELO SEBE BARBOSA

8.

Sítio Santa Fé is a small rural property of 3.5 hectares, with 1.4 hectares planted with coffee of the Arara, Catucaí 2SL, MGS Paraíso 2, and Geisha varieties. It is located in the mountainous highlands of Mantiqueira de Minas, at 1,300 meters above sea level.

Access is not easy, and neither is the management — all cultural practices are carried out manually. Yet, the conditions for producing fine coffees are exceptional. The soil is fertile, nature is preserved, the water is crystal-clear, the air is pure, and every detail is handled with care. The result couldn’t be otherwise: coffee trees that grow happy!

It was there that Rosângela and her husband Eduardo found the perfect piece of land to fulfill their long-held dream of producing truly exceptional and distinctive coffees.

Although Sítio Santa Fé is only in its third coffee harvest, Rosângela and Eduardo’s passion for coffee has deep roots. For nearly 20 years, they nurtured the dream of producing specialty coffee. They studied, took courses, made plans, and even “rehearsed” the idea of buying land several times — until, at the beginning of 2020, courage and conviction finally took over. They acquired the land, named it Sítio Santa Fé, and began preparing it to receive the first seedlings.

From the very first harvest in 2023, the quality of the coffee revealed the potential of the terroir and confirmed the couple’s skillful approach to cultivation. Consistently, the following harvests in 2024 and 2025 also delivered coffees with unique flavor and aroma in the cup.

What makes Rosângela and Eduardo happiest, however, is that along this journey, they have cultivated not only coffee but also genuine friendships and strong bonds with many people brought into their lives by this wonderful culture. This — together with their unwavering belief in the future of Brazilian coffee growing — keeps them steadfast in their purpose: to continue working passionately to show the world the truly remarkable quality of Brazilian coffee.
