"I was born in Ocotal, nestled among the mountains of Nueva
Segovia, surrounded by the aroma of coffee and the hard work of a
family that has dedicated its life to coffee farming. My name is
Olman Valladarez Acevedo, and from a very young age, I understood
that producing exceptional coffee is not just about planting; it is
about tending to every detail with discipline, passion, and respect
for the land. Today, after more than 24 years on this path, we at
Finca Los Alpes continue to work with the same commitment: to
create coffees that represent the very best of Nicaragua, ensuring
that every cup tells an authentic story of origin, quality, and
excellence.
My Geisha coffee and its natural process are the results of years
of experience, rigorous selection, and a constant quest to perfect
every stage of production. From the hand-picking of cherries at
their exact point of ripeness to the precise control of processing
and drying, everything is focused on preserving elegant, clean, and
expressive profiles. Thanks to this dedication, I have consistently
participated in the 'Cup of Excellence' since 2006, and in 2025, I
was honored as a 'Legend of Excellence' by the Alliance for Coffee
Excellence—a recognition granted to only six producers
worldwide. When someone buys my coffee, they are not just acquiring
a high-quality product; they are acquiring years of commitment,
traceability, and passion transformed into a unique cup
experience.
What makes our coffee unique is the combination of our region's
privileged conditions, the meticulous work behind every lot, and
the desire to continue elevating the reputation of Nicaraguan
coffee internationally. Every recognition we receive also
represents the hard work of our family, our community, and everyone
involved in this process. The phrase that defines us is: 'A coffee
that builds relationships through honorability, passion, and a
commitment to excellence.' My greatest satisfaction is knowing
that, through every cup, we build relationships based on integrity,
passion, and a commitment to excellence. Because more than just
selling coffee, we share a real story born in the mountains of
