For over 25 years, Irma Consuelo Bonilla and her husband, Reniery
Orlando Carvajal Guevara, have devoted their lives and souls to
coffee farming. For them, coffee is not merely a job; it is their
way of life, a treasured family tradition, and a lasting legacy
built with immense sacrifice for their children.
"Our farm holds a very special value because it has been passed
down from generation to generation," Irma shares. "Here, we have
learned that the true quality of a good coffee is born from
dedication, patience, and meticulous care at every single stage. It
is through this land that we have raised our children, teaching
them the values of hard work and love for the soil".

devastating coffee rust crisis to crippling price drops—yet
they never stopped believing in their farm or the magical potential
of their coffee. Participating in the 2026 Cup of Excellence was a
deeply emotional motivation to showcase their coffee's quality and
proudly honor their family's heritage. Standing among the winners
fills them with overwhelming joy. They believe that the true secret
making their coffee special is the pure love they pour into every
single bean. Their ultimate goal is to continue producing
