Ramon Jeovany Baide Leiva

27

The trajectory of Ramón Jeovany Baide in the coffee world is a powerful testament to evolution and unwavering constancy. His formal journey began in 1996 when he planted his first Pacas variety seeds. After more than a decade of perfecting his farm management, he found the courage in 2011 to test his coffee on a competitive stage, entering the Cup of Excellence and securing a remarkable 9th place with his Pacas coffee.

That initial triumph unlocked a new era of innovation at Finca Baide, nestled in the mountainous region of Santa Bárbara. Driven by a desire to explore his land's full potential, Ramón Jeovany bravely introduced the highly demanding Geisha variety four years ago. This bold bet on exotic coffee quickly paid off, earning him an impressive 6th place in the competition during only his second year participating with Geisha. For Ramón, the agricultural practices on his farm hold a deeply special meaning. He attributes his success to the perfect harmony between the privileged altitude of his land and the relentless daily effort of his family, who work side-by-side to ensure every single detail is flawless. Looking ahead, his goals are centered on constant self-improvement—what he describes as "giving it his all"—knowing that if this year's family commitment yielded outstanding results, next year they will give one hundred percent to elevate their coffee's quality even further.
