Lot 25: WeiShu Farm Yang, Mei-Hua
Tucked into the steep slopes of Dabang Village in Alishan at 1,450 meters above sea level, WeiShu Farm is a small-scale organic coffee estate run by Yang, Mei-Hua. Though modest in size, the farm is deeply committed to cultivating high-quality coffee using organic farming methods—completely free of chemicals and pesticides.
The farm's signature growing area, known locally as “Hero’s Slope”, is an exceptionally steep hillside where coffee trees endure large temperature swings and occasional mountain mist. These challenging conditions help develop beans with a rich sweetness and unique character.
In recent years, Yang has immersed herself in every stage of the coffee journey—from planting and harvesting to post-harvest processing. The farm specializes in honey processing techniques, aiming to showcase the clean, smooth, and vibrant flavors of high-elevation Alishan coffee. For Yang, each coffee bean tells the story of its origin—a small bean with a big personality shaped by the mountain's distinct climate and her hands-on care.
