Deyvin Arnaldo Romero Hernández (Finca Los Romero)
Deyvin Arnaldo Romero Hernández’s journey into
specialty coffee was inspired by his father, who spent years drying
coffee and ignited a curiosity in Deyvin that eventually turned
into a passion for the global demand for Honduran quality.
After a difficult year in 2025 where he failed to qualify, Deyvin
didn't give up; he identified his weaknesses, studied his process,
and returned stronger in 2026. By implementing precise
techniques—such as floating cherries after picking and
72-hour plastic-bag fermentation—he achieved his goal. He
views this success not just as a win, but as a lesson in humility
and knowledge-gathering. Grateful for the experience, Deyvin is now
more motivated than ever to continue learning and perfecting his
craft in the years to come.
