Lot 12: Los Morales Henri Milton Morales Umaña
"The heart returns where it feels its place is"
Memories and childhood stories is what led the Morales Family to
look for land in the
highest areas of the Alotepeque mountain range. His father in
previous decades had
had to get rid of his lands due to the civil war faced in El
Salvador, at that time they
being children and with a not very promising future arrive in the
City of Metapán.
Years later, after a lot of work and effort, they decided to
return to those places,
always carrying the memory of their father and with the desire to
fulfill one of the
greatest desires of their heart, adding the purpose of being able
to help the people
of the area. They began to execute a plan that allowed the
development of the area,
generating employment and managing to position these forgotten
and
underdeveloped places as a true jewel for the cultivation of
coffee. When exploring
the lands, Milton Morales bets on the native variety and some
exotic varieties, which
have proven to perfectly appropriate the soil, climate and
altitude due to the excellent
results of the work carried out.
In this way, Finca los Morales was born at more than 1800 meters
above sea level,
in the Alotepeque mountain range, in front of the Montecristo
Cloud forest. What
makes the perfect combination in our coffee, of body, flavor and
aroma that
captivates even the most demanding senses.
The farm is located in the department of Santa Ana, municipality
of Metapán,
Honduritas hamlet, at a latitude of 14.23° N. We add to this,
that we are surrounded
by protected forest, with plants and trees that allow us to
maintain a unique climate
throughout the area, with landscapes that inspire us as coffee
growers.
We are a farm of 45 manzanas, more than 11 of these cultivated, 5
manzanas with
the Geisha variety and 6 Manzanas de Pacamara, also this year we
have added
varieties such as Cider, Moka and Café Bourbon
Rosé.
We are proud that the agricultural work is carried out with
collaborators from the
same Honduritas village, which makes us employers in the area.
Reaching the
harvest season, which is almost always at the end of February,
obtaining the best
state of ripeness of the fruit.
For the drying of the coffee we built a small mill, which
consists of a small pulpero
and a metal solar tunnel with UV plastic and African beds inside
the tunnel to
maintain a controlled temperature.
The processes we carry out in some cases are anaerobic, Honney,
washer and
natural coffees.
Drying times range from 30 to 45 days depending on the weather and
the type of
process.
The profile on the cup of our coffees are as follows:

citrusy acidity,
sweet, silky. Achieving a cup score of 89.50
Geisha Variety Coffee: Floral, lemon, spicy, cashew, floral,

reached a record-breaking
price of $122 per pound—the highest ever for a Salvadoran
coffee.
These milestones highlight Finca Los Morales as escellence coffee
producer, known
for outstanding quality, innovation in natural processing, and
global market appeal.
Currently in 2025, we are the second place winners in the
"Natural" category and

again received
the title of Presidential Coffee, placing us among the best
coffees in El Salvador and
on the radar of the world as one of the best coffee producers, to

Morales has fulfilled its
mission, and what began as a dream, and a place that housed
memories and
feelings, has become more than what was ever dreamed of, and we
have no doubt
that our father is proud of the work done. We continue to create
new projects to bring
a piece of Metapán and El Salvador to different parts of
the world, because good
