Located on the border between La Piedra de Rivas and Páramo, Finca La Torre rises impressively at 1,950 meters above sea level, directly facing the mountains of Cerro Chirripó. This farm sits in a challenging microclimate, with strong winds, fluctuating temperatures, and an altitude that demands resilience—both from the coffee and from those who cultivate it. Among native trees and high-altitude landscapes, a pivotal chapter in the story of Corazón de Jesús was born.
La Torre is more than just a farm: it is a living laboratory for Geishas. Since its acquisition in 2017, it has served as our experimental farm, where we grow different genetic lines of Geisha, each with a unique sensory profile. Among them, the standout is Geisha Taka, whose seeds come directly from Panama—from Finca Callejón Seco of the iconic Don Pachi Estate, the first farm to introduce this variety to the country. This lineage has demonstrated exceptional performance in our altitude and terroir, allowing us to explore new frontiers in cup quality.
Finca La Torre marked a turning point in our competitive journey. In 2021, we entered the Cup of Excellence for the first time, earning 5th place with a Natural Anaerobic Geisha. This achievement not only placed us among the best in the country but also opened the door for the Brunca Region to begin gaining global recognition. Then in 2024, we stood out again with a Honey Geisha, taking 2nd place in the Honeys and Naturals category. And in 2025, La Torre once again filled us with pride, earning a spot on the podium with 3rd place in the Washed category.
Each harvest at Finca La Torre is an opportunity for evolution. The farm represents not only a geographic high point, but also a symbolic one: it is the root of the dream we share as a family, and the platform from which our vision has been projected to the world.
