LA CATARATA
ANGEL ANTONIO MANOSALVA PALOMINO
1B
In 2020, a small land located in the village La Cascarilla, at
1.943 m a.s.l, was leased with the purpose of bringing and old
coffee plantation back to life, At that time, all the place was
covered with old, neglected coffee trees, but with a clear vision
of renewal, we decided to make a invest in one of the world's most
prized varieties; Geisha.
That same year, the first 1,500 plants were planted, marking the
beginning of a new cycle for the farm. In 2022, after seeing the
first results and with a strong commitment to quality, the process
for the definitive purchase of the land began, being finally
completed in 2023.
With ownership secured, the dream expanded: 4,000 new Geisha
plants were added, strengthening the commitment to produce
high-quality coffee. And in 2024, the renovation continued with
2,000 additional plants, bringing the total of 7,500 carefully
established Geisha trees to date.
Today, this 1.75-hectare property represents not only the
continuous effort and passion for coffee, but also confidence in
the potential of La Cascarilla’s land, where every bean
reflects a story of dedication and renewal.
