FAZENDA SANTA TEREZINHA

WEBER MARCOS DIAS

10_

Coffee has always been at the heart of Weber and his family’s life. The passion for coffee growing runs through generations – a legacy started by his father, Sebastião, who in the early 1990s acquired a small farm where the family worked together to ensure healthy trees and productive crops.

In 1999, after marrying Edivana, Weber fulfilled his dream of owning his own land: Sítio Santa Terezinha. From the beginning, the couple shared responsibilities: Weber takes care of the field management, soil nutrition, pruning, and harvesting, while Edivana leads the post-harvest, ensuring uniform drying and perfect humidity levels.
Located in the Região Vulcânica, southern Minas Gerais, the farm benefits from fertile soils and mild temperatures that enhance cup quality. With these natural advantages and growing technical expertise, Weber joined Cooxupé in 2017 and began refining his processes with the guidance of SMC’s specialists. Careful fermentation control, selective picking, and gradual drying became part of his routine, resulting in increasingly refined lots.
The improvement was recognized in 2022, when Santa Terezinha’s coffee was identified through Especialíssimo, SMC and Cooxupé’s specialty coffee program. The selected lot displayed floral notes with hints of apricot and sugarcane, praised for its delicacy and aromatic complexity.
In 2023, Weber’s dedication brought new achievements: 1st place in the Natural Process category of a regional competition in Poços de Caldas, and 4th place at the Especialíssimo Award Ceremony with a Natural Arara scoring 88.41 points – proof that his pursuit of excellence is rooted in every stage of production.
