DBarbosa is a proudly Brazilian, genuinely family business, that
flourishes with a clear goal: to contribute to the sustainable
evolution of the Cerrado Mineiro, producing extraordinary coffees.
The company also relies on the work of women.
The farm’s history begins in 1980. Today it is in the third
generation, run by Mr. Danilo Barbosa, the second generation in the
business. Fazenda Cachoeira was acquired in 2005.
This coffee was picked at its peak of maturation, hulled using as
little water as possible, and dried on a concrete patio with most
of its mucilage.
In 2017, there was an awakening to quality of coffee and a great
incentive in the quality and post-harvest process management team.
The farm uses clean water, periodically cleaning the machinery and
maintaining the hygiene of all the farm’s internal
environments. They value lot traceability to monitor all stages of
the coffee.
