DOM SILVÉRIO
PAULO HENRIQUE MIRANDA
1
"My name is Paulo Henrique Miranda, I am 39 years old, single,
and was born and raised in Araponga, Minas Gerais, Brazil. I am the
son of rural producers and have been passionate about coffee and
the work behind it since I was very young.
Our work is entirely family-run, with occasional help from others
during the peak of the harvest. I am the first generation of coffee
grower on my own land — before me, my uncles used the area
for dairy cattle. When I was younger, I received a small sharecrop
coffee field, which allowed me to save and start my own plantation
in 2017.
Since then, I have worked hard to produce high-quality coffee,
personally overseeing every stage — from cultivation to
harvest. Over the years, our coffee has been showing steady
improvement in quality, achieving excellent scores and recognition
in the region.
Our property is strategically located at the entrance of Araponga,
just 6 km from town, next to the Oraida Mendes de Castro highway,
which facilitates maintenance and grain transport. I grew up
watching my father handle the harvest, washing, and drying of our
family’s coffee — memories that inspire me to be a
better and happier farmer today.
My goal is to achieve a top ranking in this year’s
competition, earning recognition among fellow producers for our
high-quality coffee — and, hopefully, one day, to be among
the best in Minas Gerais or even in Brazil.
My love for coffee has always been clear to everyone around me
— it’s my greatest passion. On our farm, we follow
environmental preservation principles, protecting the natural
springs and native trees such as embaúba and xaxim. I
believe that caring for the environment ensures not only our
livelihood but also the future of the next generations.
In my veins runs the determination and desire to produce coffee of
outstanding quality, recognized and respected beyond our
hills."
