Mingyang
Located in the Shizhao region of Zhuchi Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan, Mingyang is a renowned tea and coffee estate. With a rich background in tea production, the farm began gaining recognition in regional and national coffee competitions starting in 2021. The owner, Cheng-Yuan Wang, has guided the farm to notable achievements, showcasing the quality and precision of their coffee production.
2024 marked a significant milestone for Mingyang as it participated in the prestigious Cup of Excellence (COE) for the first time. Impressively, the farm won the highest honor, the ""Presidential Award,"" with its Geisha variety. This washed Geisha, produced by Wang Cheng-Yuan, astounded the international jury with its distinct jasmine aroma and scored an outstanding 92.25 points—setting a record for the highest score ever received by a Taiwanese coffee in international auctions. Its complex flavor profile includes notes of honey, floral fragrances, bergamot, peach, orange, black tea, and mango, which left a lasting impression on the judges.
